He didn't want to follow the king's rules.
The king and the prime minister and the members of the parliament gathered up for a meeting.
Then Guy Fawkes had an idea to blow up the tower so he could get rid of them all. So then he and his mates got 36 barrels of gun powder. He thought that it was gonna work, but one of his mates went and told the soldiers that the king was gonna die. Guy Fawkes went down to the basement to set off the gunpowder but he was captured by the king's soldiers. He was captured for trying to kill the king in the tower, so then he got kicked into jail.
